Representatives of DMCI Homes recently visited the Pamplona Elem. School Unit 1 in Las Piñas City to help the school administration prepare for the coming school opening through the Brigada Eskwela program.

During their visit last Sept. 1, DMCI Homes representatives turned over school and health-related supplies such as bond papers, face masks, bottles of alcohol, and boxes of vitamin C to school officials as they continue to prepare for 1,000 enrollees for the coming school year.

"As one of the neighboring schools of our Sonora Garden Residences project, we wanted to help Pamplona Elem. School Unit 1 prepare for the coming school opening by providing additional school supplies and health care products to protect them from the COVID-19 virus," DMCI Homes Corporate Communications Manager Carlo Gahol said.

Gahol said DMCI Homes’ support to the school’s Brigada Eskwela program is part of the company's Kaakbay sa Edukasyon Corporate Social Responsibility initiative which aims to enhance learning and education in communities where the company operates.

Pamplona Elem. School Unit 1 teachers held a short program before accepting DMCI Homes’ donations.

Jenelyn Nacario, Pamplona Elem. School Unit 1’s Brigada Eskwela Chairperson, meanwhile, thanked DMCI Homes for always providing support to the school’s activities.

“Our school is really blessed to have a partner company like DMCI Homes which always supports our activities especially our Brigada Eskwela program,” Nacario said of the annual activity of the Department of Education that aims to bring people together to help prepare public school facilities for the opening of classes.

DMCI Homes during the last school year’s Brigada Eskwela also donated learning materials to Pamplona Elem. School Unit 1 to help the school transition to blended learning amid the pandemic.

In 2019, DMCI Homes also donated basketballs to boost the school’s physical education program.

Apart from Sonora Garden Residences, Las Piñas City is also home to DMCI Homes’ two other residential projects namely—Ohana Place and Maricielo Villas.
