Mike and Christia Gonzalez is your typical married couple at the prime of their lives both with successful professional careers and a healthy relationship with family and friends. After getting married in November 2007, it was time to move on to the next phase of their life, and that is to start their own family in their own home.
As former residents of Pasig City with Mike’s parents, the couple sought for a place that would mirror the comfort, convenience, and security offered by their initial home. They scoured the city, even the suburbs, for an ideal home environment that would suit their lifestyle as busy professionals. Initially, they wanted a house and lot, which is typical of Filipinos’ concept of a dream home. But after looking at their options and taking into account their needs and living requirements, they realized that it was best to procure a condominium residence which offered them convenience and security, plus other incomparable advantages.
Among all the projects they looked into, they settled for the condo property that was deemed having the best value propositions. They bought their unit officially in August 2008. In July 2009, they finally moved in to their brand new home located in a sprawling residential estate in progressive Taguig City. “We can categorically say that it was really the most affordable property that offered us the best deal among all the projects we considered,” Mike related. “For a two-bedroom, 50 sqm unit plus 10 sqm service area that we bought at the pre-selling stage, it definitely gave us the best financial deal at only 20% downpayment. The price of the unit was P2.7 million while the other projects offered units at only 30-40 sqm that were worth P3 million to P4 million and up.”
The location of Royal Palm also gave them a surprising advantage, assuring the couple a convenient drive to their office in Ortigas for only 20 minutes, since the route to their destination is counter to the usual traffic. Mike also recalled that when they started furnishing their house by June of 2009, it was also another welcome surprise to find that they did not have to change much with the turnover state of their unit. Quality finishes and fixtures were provided already in their unit, allowing them to simply move in their appliances and furniture and add some décor to make their home livable.
In fact, when friends come over, they are just as pleasantly surprised to find their residence an impressive medium-rise residence. “My friends even get the impression and feel of Royal Palm as a resort hotel, especially with our expansive, 1-hectare amenities area,” Mike noted.
