With all the hustle and bustle of a fast-paced lifestyle in the metro, finding a sanctuary from the chaos of everyday living can be a challenge for many urban dwellers.
Luckily for residents of DMCI Homes communities, the developer’s condominium projects are designed to provide a nurturing environment that encourages a life of leisure and wellness with their invigorating resort-inspired amenities and facilities.
For Siena Park Residences unit owner Thea Gutierrez, having this kind of environment that is conducive for relaxation is important for people in the metro to endure life in the concrete jungle.
A Vinyasa Yoga practitioner who had her 200-hr Ashtanga-Vinyasa Teacher Training, Gutierrez has been teaching the Hindu discipline of muscle control and meditation to her neighbors in the Bicutan, Parañaque condo community every week to help them cope with the stresses of urban living.
“With yoga you can do proper breathing. It gives relaxation as well as stretching and toning, giving your body that good stretch and detoxifying. That’s why you sweat a lot in yoga. I wanted to make yoga unintimidating to my neighbors, that it is a very accessible form of exercise even if you are a beginner or not flexible. Yoga is for everyone,” she explained.
Gutierrez said she is thankful to have found a home in DMCI Homes’ Siena Park Residences community that supports her quest for inner peace amid her busy life as a marketing professional.
“Everything that you need is here—the space for jogging, the gym, the clubhouse, the swimming pool, the basketball/volleyball/tennis court, everything that you need for exercise. The security team and the Property Management Office (PMO) are topnotch. You have that sense of security, orderliness and peace of mind every time you’re at home,” Gutierrez shared.
Having lived in the mid-rise condo community since 2013, she even considers her purchase of her 2-bedroom unit as one of the best decisions she has made in her young professional career.
“Actually I was telling my friends that this has been the best decision I’ve made and I’ve been so happy of getting a DMCI Homes property that I even was able to encourage one of my MBA classmates to buy a property here. And we are neighbors now so super saya that we get to have dinners together, do activities together. Other friends bought in different DMCI Homes communities and we’d exchange notes and stories as well,” Gutierrez shared.
A “South Girl” since her childhood years, Gutierrez knew that Siena Park Residences was the right property for her lifestyle just upon checking the model unit of the modern-tropical development.
“I have been living in the south since I was a kid and living in Parañaque is very close to Makati where I work. It’s also close to the south if you want to go to the beach and it’s also convenient go to the north with the Skyway and expressway,” she disclosed.
“And when I saw this, it was perfect because it’s near the malls, near the public transportation, near Makati, near everything. So that’s the reason why, no batting of an eyelash kumbaga, I got this property!” she chuckled.
But more than the development’s excellent location, it’s the community fellowship that has endeared Gutierrez to her fellow residents of the three-hectare property.
“Tama yung sinasabi nila that DMCI Homes build communities, livable communities. So it’s really different when you see a DMCI Homes property compared to other developers. You would really see the distinct difference and it’s really a cut above the rest,” she enthused.
This is evident in the numerous community development activities initiated by the PMO, the MBA degree holder said.
“It’s very apparent and it’s very obvious in all the activities that we have. I’ve joined some bazaars, the mass every Sunday. We have Santacruzan, Halloween and even the Christmas get-togethers. Pagandahan ng mga decors sa buildings and that even each building has their own gatherings,” Gutierrez shared.
“I really love the sense of community that has been established. I’ve been here since 2013 and no regrets. I’ve always been happy with how the community turned out, the property management, my neighbors, and how we really cared for the community and for the development of the community,” she beamed.
