Tuba farmers to bring fresh harvests to Acacia Estates on May 18

Something fresh is coming to Acacia Estates.

On May 18, 2025, residents of DMCI Homes’ residential township in Taguig can look forward to a special treat as farmers from Tuba, Benguet—the host community of DMCI Homes Leisure Residences’ Moncello Crest eco-agri condotel—bring their freshest produce straight to the neighborhood for a one-day Sunday Farmers Market.

Happening from 6 a.m. along Kamagong Street, beside Acacia Town Center near Ivory Wood, the event is a collaboration between DMCI Homes and the Tuba Agri-Tourism Community (TATC), in support of sustainable tourism and livelihood development in Tuba.

Shoppers can expect a bounty of freshly picked vegetables such as carrots, broccoli, lettuce, sayote, cauliflower, and cabbage, as well as local favorites like strawberries, mushroom products, kiniing (smoked meat), strawberry jam, chili paste, coffee beans, and more—all sold directly by the farmers themselves

By eliminating middlemen, this direct-to-consumer setup ensures better earnings for the farmers while helping reduce food waste caused by oversupply.

More than just a market, the event offers Acacia Estates residents a taste of farm-to-table living—bringing nutritious produce to the community and turning an ordinary Sunday into a heartwarming experience. It’s also a way to celebrate the richness of Cordillera culture through food, stories, and local flavors that reflect the region’s heritage.
