Known for promoting healthy lifestyle in its communities, DMCI Homes, the country's first Quadruple A real estate developer, has forged a partnership with CURE Philippines to bring smile to children with disabilities in Mindanao.
DMCI Homes' first development in Mindanao - Verdon Parc in Davao City : supports the annual fun run of Junior Chamber International (JCI) and CURE Philippines which will be held on May 28 for the benefit of children with treatable conditions such as clubfoot, cleft lip, and palate and spinal deformities.
With this year's theme Putting the FUN back in Run, participants of the JCI-CURE Color Fun Run 2017 will race around the three-hectare Verdon Parc located along Ecoland Drive corner Peacock as the event aims to raise funds for the Tebow CURE Hospital in Davao City to finance medical surgeries for physically-disabled children.
CURE Philippines revealed there are over 2 million children living with treatable physical disabilities in the island of Mindanao and the whole country.
"We say 'healing changes everything' not only because it brings an end to physical pain but because it means restoration of dignity, protection from abuse, and inclusion in family, school, and culture," disclosed CURE Philippines, one of the 30 groups being served worldwide by Christian nonprofit organization CURE International.
The run fest aims to enlist 1,000 runners for the 3k, 5k, and 10k race categories.
