Family-loving neighbors make condo-living a heartwarming experience for young IT professional

There is something alluring about walking into a home glowing with a family’s love and support for each member.

It’s the same vibe that IT professional Teddy Dullano felt when he moved into his two-bedroom unit in DMCI Homes’ One Castilla Place in Castilla St., Valencia, Quezon City two years ago.

After staying for a decade in a condo adjacent to a business center in Pasig, Dullano longed for a different kind of scenery which he gladly found in the single-tower resort-inspired condo community.

“I was looking for a place na different naman. Sa Pasig kasi I lived there for 10 years kaya sabi ko different environment naman. (I said) I’ll try QC so nahanap ko yung One Castilla Place,” he explained.

And as he got to know his new neighbors better, Dullano discovered the difference of living in a “family-oriented” DMCI Homes community.

“Most of the homeowners are couples with kids. Masayang tingnan kasi even extended family members kasama nila. Pati grandparents kasama nila,” the 35-year-old said.

“Unlike sa ibang locations na malapit sa offices, ang napansin ko mostly doon working professionals lang talaga ang nagre-rent lang. Alam mo ‘yung malapit sa office kaya they stay there for work? Dito it’s more of family ang makikita mo,” he continued.

The Iloilo native said having good neighbors was an important consideration in his search for a new condo unit as he believed that “a home should be a place where people live together harmoniously.”

“Maliit man o malaki as long as yung mga tao sa loob live in harmony, that’s a home for me,” he related.

Having seen DMCI Homes’ previous projects in its Acacia Estates township development in Taguig, Dullano had the country’s first Quadruple A developer as his top preference when he decided to move to a new home.

“First choice ko is DMCI Homes. Kasi proven na ang DMCI kasi I know yung CCP (Cultural Center of the Philippines), sila pa ang gumawa noon dati,” Dullano disclosed.

“I really like the environment. I like the pool. I like the children’s playground. And it’s a 15-minute drive going to work or kung mag-commute man mga 20 minutes lang kaya na siya. LRT and MRT pwede siya,” he enthused.

Dullano was also in praise of the numerous community development activities initiated by DMCI Homes especially the annual inter-property holiday decor competition, which he said, only made the bond among residents stronger.

“I was part of the group. Masaya siya. I got to extend my network. I met new friends basically,” he said of the “Festival of Lights” 2017 edition which marked the first time that One Castilla Place joined the competition.

Thus, after two years in the community, Dullano is convinced he has found a “home” in the One Castilla Place community.

“There are areas of improvement to be done. Bata pa naman yung community so madami pang pwedeng i-improve.  But for the first two years of my stay, I would say I’m very happy being part of the One Castilla Place community,” Dullano shared.

“I have good neighbors. And I have a group of friends here already even if I’ve only been here for two years,” he exclaimed.
