Quadruple A developer DMCI Homes is expanding its carpool program in its Acacia Estates township in Taguig City to serve more residents living in other condo communities.

The exclusive carpool program for DMCI Homes homeowners called RideShare, was pilot tested in Acacia Estates in November 2022 to provide residents a convenient way going to and from key destinations amid rising fuel prices and challenging traffic conditions.

With RideShare, Acacia Estates residents can easily book a carpool ride online to go to selected drop off-points like Bonifacio High Street, SM Aura, Market! Market!, McKinley Hill Station, and Venice Grand Canal Mall.

Over 1,000 residents served

Since its initial run, RideShare has already served over 850 residents from Acacia Estates.

The success of RideShare’s initial run in Acacia Estates, Taguig has inspired DMCI Homes to expand the carpool program to cover more condo communities.

Just this February, the program was expanded to serve Brixton Place, a two-tower condo community in Kapitolyo, Pasig City.

Over 190 residents of Brixton Place have so far availed of the carpool ride going to Uptown Mall, MC Home Depot, The Mind Museum, Bonifacio High Street, SM Aura Premier, and Market! Market!.

RideShares has been serving Acacia Estates residents since November last year.

‘I’ve saved an hour’s worth of worrying’

DMCI Homes residents who have used RideShare attest to its many benefits.

Gelyn, a resident of Rosewood Pointe, Acacia Estates said it is especially helpful for commuters like her or those who rely on ride-hailing services which get costly especially during rush hour.

“I love the convenience it provides to those who do not have cars and rely only on Grab or public transportation. I’ve saved an hour’s worth of worrying,” she said.

Big help for the elderly

RideShare is also especially helpful for the elderly like Verawood Residences, Acacia Estates resident, Mabeth.

“I really appreciate this initiative which is a tremendous help for elderly residents like me,” she said.

Aby, a resident of Brixton Place, meanwhile, is happy that RideShare is now available in her community.

“I used to drive to work every day, but I no longer have to, plus I don’t have to pay for parking or search for it. Thanks to Brixton Place for their RideShare program, it is really convenient. It’s as easy as 1-2-3 to book,” Aby said.

RideShare now also serves Brixton Place.

Sustainable ride

Enrico Wong, DMCI Homes Property Management Corporation Senior Vice President, said apart from Acacia Estates and Brixton Place, RideShare will also be made available in other condo communities and upcoming ready-for-occupancy properties.

“RideShare is one of the innovations we have introduced to address the evolving needs of our homeowners,” Wong said.

“With RideShare, we get to provide our residents a convenient and sustainable way to get around the metro and also help reduce the number of vehicles on the road at the same time,” he added.

Currently RideShare booking is done online but will soon be made available in the DMCI Communities App for the convenience of homeowners.
