When DMCI Homes formed its Fit-out Team in November 2016, it began with just 12 craftsmen, seasoned carpenters drawn from the company’s Construction Team who had first showcased their artistry in the restoration of the century-old Casa Real Events Place in Acacia Estates, Taguig. 

  

Their mission was clear: to uphold DMCI Homes’ renowned quality and synergize with the interior designers to provide top-notch, best value products and services that wow customers and enhance their quality of life. 

  

What started as a small group of carpenters and builders has, in less than a decade, grown into a family of nearly 400 craftsmen. 

 

Today, they work out of DMCI Homes’ own woodshop in Acacia Estates, producing everything from accent walls and bar counters to reception desks and custom furnishings.

Guiding them is Fit-out Manager Engr. Jo. Medwin L. Dimapilis, who believes true craftsmanship thrives on collaboration and a hunger to learn. 

 

“We undergo continuous training, research and development, read books and articles for objectivity, go to site and plant visits for market awareness, all to improve as a team,” he shares. 

  

More than giving instructions, he nurtures a culture of pride and belonging, reminding his men that they are craftsmen whose work gives life and character to every home.

The Fit-out Team’s process is meticulous, involving plan reviews, mock-ups, fabrication, installation, and quality final checks to ensure attention to detail craftmanship.

From 12 men to nearly 400 specialists, including carpenters, masons, electricians, plumbers, painters, granite and gypsum installers, the Fit-out Team has become indispensable in DMCI Homes’ homebuilding process. 

  

Carpenter Darwin Militante recalls how much it means whenever unit owners recognize their work: “Nakakataba po ng puso kapag nakita nila ang gawa naming tapos sasabihin nila, ‘Ang ganda naman niyan.’ Kami ang gumawa niyan. Gawa ng Fit-out Team ‘yan!”
