Citing their invaluable contributions to the attainment of the company's vision of building communities, DMCI Homes recently honored Community Development Council members of its residential projects who helped promote a sense of belongingness among their fellow residents in the past year.
During the first DMCI Homes Communities’ Yearend Party held at the company’s headquarters in Makati City, DMCI Homes President Alfredo Austria expressed his gratitude to the unit owner attendees as he reassured them of the company’s continuing support for their undertakings to further promote a sense of community in their respective condominium residences.
“I’d just like to tell you tonight that we are fully supportive of your efforts in building your communities. Just let us know what we can do to help build better communities and rest assured that we will be working hand in hand with you in these efforts,” Austria said.
DMCI Homes Property Management Corporation (DPMC) Senior Vice President Enrico C. Wong also thanked the attendees as he encouraged them to continue caring not just for their units but also for the welfare of the whole community and their fellow residents.
“For the beauty of the community to thrive, it takes everybody’s effort. As what an African proverb says, it takes a village to raise a child. So we always challenge our unit owners, please don’t just love your unit, please love your community,” Wong appealed.
The attendees were commended for organizing activities that help promote a sense of belongingness among residents like outreach activities, donation drives, community fiestas, family day, seasonal occasions, pet shows, and bazaars.
Apart from members of Community Development Councils, also in attendance were the awardees of DMCI Homes’ various inter-condo competitions in 2018.
These include Lawrence Toledo of Riverfront Residences who topped both the “Capture Moments” photo contest and the “Keep It Reel: Livin’ and Lovin’ It” video competition.
Residents of Palm Grove Residences who dressed up their mid-rise condo community like a mystical forest, meanwhile, were present to receive the grand prize of the 2018 “Magical Holiday” décor competition.
“Actually we did not join the competition just for the sake of winning a prize. We agreed to join the contest so the children in our community could better feel the Christmas spirit,” shared Palm Grove Residences unit owner Giovanni Delfin.
“And it was really heartening to see the unit owners, even those on wheelchairs, coming together to dress up our community. It’s a great way to unite the community,” he added.
Following the awarding, the attendees were then treated to a night of music, games and laughter as well as special song and dance numbers prepared by residents of various DMCI Homes communities.
Richard Abad, who was one of the unit owner attendees lauded DMCI Homes for treating unit owners of its residential projects as its partners in achieving its goal of building communities.
“I’m very happy that DMCI (Homes) is making us feel that we are part of the company. We are treated not just as unit owners but also as partners in its goal of building communities,” said Abad who chairs Tivoli Garden Residences’ Community Development Council.
