Pasig

About Pasig

Some legendary tales said that “Pasig” was derived from an old Sanskrit word which means “river flowing from one body of water to another”. In the case of the Pasig river, it flows from Laguna de Bay to Manila Bay.

Have you ever wondered why Pasig has a “Green City” moniker? Some residents would identify that there are actually two sides of Pasig which are the West part where the city center is located and the East part which is located nearby Rizal province. Pasig was once a part of Rizal until 1975 hence this gives justice to why it still has a touch of the provincial aspect. The “Green” in “Green City” may refer to the eastern side specifically at the Rainforest Adventure Experience (RAVE) where you can feel the nature living vibes.
