DMCI Homes turns over pre-loved books donated by employees for the public library in Gawad Kalinga’s Dreamland community in San Jose del Monte, Bulacan. Present during the turnover were (L-R) GK Mabuhay Tour Coordinator Rowena Betito, DMCI Homes Corporate Communications Manager Jhops Cruz, and GK Dreamland Homeowners Association officers led by President Visitacion Abelgas.

DMCI Homes recently held a book drive in its headquarters in Makati City for the benefit of children residing in Gawad Kalinga’s Dreamland community in San Jose del Monte, Bulacan.

The books collected from the activity were turned over by DMCI Homes to the GK Dreamland Homeowners Association last January 26.

The turnover coincided with the company’s Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) activity dubbed as “Bata, TARA Na! (Towards A Reading Adventure)” read-along session which was done in collaboration with Gawad Kalinga’s Paraisong Pambata project.

The donated books will serve as additional reference materials in the community library which is among the 4 centers and 82 housing units built by DMCI Homes in GK Dreamland.

One of the 100 children beneficiaries receives a school bag and school supplies from DMCI Homes employees.

Apart from pre-loved books, DMCI Homes also donated school bags and school supplies to 100 children beneficiaries of the CSR activity.

“Nagpapasalamat po kami sa DMCI Homes sa walang pagod na pagtulong nila sa amin. Bukod sa magandang bahay na ipinagkaloob nila, tumutulong din sila sa pagpapaunlad ng kalidad ng buhay sa aming komunidad lalung-lalo na ng mga kabataan,” GK Dreamland Homeowners President Visitacion Abelgas said.
